Hello everybody.

My journey to London Paddington (PAD) last Saturday was horrible! No one to be blamed but it sucks because thruout I was travelling alone! It was flooding everywhere hence the train I was in has to be terminated half-way thru the journey. God bless. The tunnels were flooded causing trains scheduled to travel to PAD being cancelled.

This is the summary of my journey:

6.55am-9.30am
Cardiff Central - Newport - Bristol Parkway - STOPPED for half an hour somewhere between Bristol and Swindon due to flooding - REVERSED back to Bristol but not Parkway, this time it's BRISTOL TEMPLE MEADS then TRAIN got TERMINATED. Nice!

9.30am-11.45am
Was advised to take an alternative route via Salisbury/Southampton to travel into London Waterloo. Just so you know if I were to take this route I will only reach London after 6 hours! Wanted to take the train but everyone was going after the same train and I failed to get myself onto the train. I waited for the next one and was surprised to see that it was a BURUK 2-carriage train! It doesn't look like a train to me! HA-HA. It was chaotic! everywhere in the train station was people screaming, shouting, running and crying! Some of them were crying because they couldn't get in time to catch their flight from Heathrow. I somehow needed a break from all the chaos and decided to walk out of the train station and was planning to catch a coach to London instead. I thought all this chaos was over but I was wrong. The coach station was all full! Everyone was queing up for any possible routes to London. When it was my turn at the counter, the next available coach is at 4pm which means that I'll only reach London Victoria at around 6.30pm! The ticket costs me 22pounds! Time check 11.45am.

11.45am-1pm
Had lunch at Cabot Circus and window shopping just to kill time. I then decided to go back to the train station to return my train ticket and get my money back. God bless just the right time because there was then a train from PLYMOUTH that was heading towards PAD! I was advised to run quick and managed to get in time before the door closes!

1pm-4pm
took the train towards Swindon. TRAIN STOPPED! then ANNOUNCEMENT: WE CANNOT PROCEED AND WILL STOP AT CHIPPENHAM! EVERYONE ON THE TRAIN WAS SWEARING! Stopped at Chippenham. LUCKY ENOUGH 20mins after we were allowed to get onto the train again and continue w our journey. STOPPED AT READING. DELAYED again- not because of FLOODING but because the driver weren't there! HA-HA.

4pm ARRIVED LONDON PADDINGTON. Alhamdulillah!

stressfull right? I was supposed to reach London Pad at 9.02am but reached there at 4pm instead!
